The U.S.-China Relationship - Where is it Headed and What Does it Mean for the World?
United States-China relations have been fraught with rising tensions since the beginning of this century. Frictions between the two countries are impacting economic and security dynamics globally. What are the prospects for US-China relations as the Trump administration approaches the end of a year in office and China prepares to launch its 15th Five Year plan-- and what could these developments mean for the world?

50th Anniversary Celebration of the Department of Indigenous Studies
Wednesday, October 15, 2025
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Marshall McLuhan Hall
We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating this momentous occasion. This is a moment to honour the past and reconnect with those who have shaped the department over the last five decades. We are especially welcoming back members of the first Indian, Métis and Eskimo Student Association (IMESA) established in 1971, BA, MA and PhD alumni of the program, and long-time supporters of the department’s growth.
Join us on campus for an afternoon of connection, reflection, celebration, and a hopeful look toward the future followed by celebratory treats. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and hearing your thoughts on where the department has been and where it is headed.
