University of Manitoba Economics Graduate Students Association (UM-EGSA)

UM-EGSA is an authorized platform for the graduate students of the Department of Economics at the University of Manitoba. Our office is located in room 601 Fletcher Argue building.

Our organization is steered by a dedicated team of elected representatives, ensuring a democratic governance structure that fosters accountability, transparency, and active participation from our members. We are integrated into the central graduate student body as counselors, which enables us to effectively represent and advocate for the interests of our diverse membership. Overall, our well-established structure and resource base empower us to serve our members efficiently and play a significant role in enriching the graduate experience at the University of Manitoba.

Whether you're facing academic concerns or looking for more support in navigating grad school, UM-EGSA is here to represent your interests at the departmental and university levels. We also aim to foster a sense of community by organizing events such as social gatherings, professional development workshops, and seasonal activities like a Summer Outdoor Party, Games Event, Winter Indoor Party, etc. Keep an eye out for upcoming events throughout the year!

The UM-EGSA Executive is elected annually during the summer term. If you’re interested in joining the team or getting involved in any way, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always happy to welcome new members and ideas.
