UM-EGSA is an authorized platform for the graduate students of the Department of Economics at the University of Manitoba. Our office is located in room 601 Fletcher Argue building.

We are integrated into the central graduate student body as counselors, which enables us to effectively represent and advocate for the interests of our diverse membership. Each year the Department of Economics hosts a variety of lectures and other events. These include seminars, panel discussions, invited lectures, brownbag lunch talks and honours and graduate student conferences. The Economics Seminar Series supports the interaction of ideas and intellectual discussion of economics from a variety of perspectives. It has been running for over 50 years and is the oldest in the Faculty of Arts.
