Graduate student admissions
We want to make your admissions process as seamless as possible.
Carefully review the admission process before you begin, and ensure you have everything you need before applying online.
Step 1. Find your program
We have so much to offer. Explore our over 98 master's and 51 doctoral programs.
Step 2. Check requirements
Ensure you meet the university's general requirements and any additional requirements of your program or those based on your applicant type.
Step 3. Check deadlines and apply online
Know your program application deadline, and make sure you understand which documents you need to submit with your application. Then you can apply online.
Step 4. Check application status, accept your offer, and register
After you apply, review the next steps and check your application status to make sure we have received all of your required documents.
Commonly asked questions
Answers to commonly asked questions for new and prospective students.
How do I check the status of my application?
You can check your application status at any time by logging into the Graduate Studies application portal.
How do I submit documents?
You can upload documents directly into your application portal during and even after your initial application. Official documents are not required at this time, nor will they be kept.
Do you accept electronic transcripts?
We will not accept emailed PDFs of transcripts, however, if we are provided with a link and password, we will accept electronic documents. We accept documents from Parchment, MyCreds, and National Student Clearinghouse.
My university teaches in English. Do I still need to submit a test?
This does not necessarily waive the test score requirement. Please review our list of exempted countries. If your degree is from a country on this list, your English language test score will be waived.
Do I need an advisor before applying?
Many departments require you to have an advisor prior to applying. You can check if this is a requirement in the application requirements on your Program of study page (see 'How to apply' heading).
How do I add my CV?
Not every department requires a CV. If there is no upload spot provided in the online application, then a CV is not required for your application.
