ARTlab
An award-winning building, the Art Research Technology lab boasts state-of-the-art facilities and technology for students in the School of Art, including a wood shop, digital printing facilities, a large lecture theatre, various media studios and a sound stage with an isolation booth.
Lobby | School of Art Gallery
The physical and philosophical gateway to the ARTlab, the SoA Gallery serves academic and broader communities through its exhibition and outreach programming, publishing and collecting activities. The lobby area also serves as the School of Art’s main office.
MAClab
The MAClab allows students to create digital works in photography, graphic design, web design, animation and video. Facilities include 30 Mac workstations, a digital print room and a finishing room.
Drawing studio
One of two studios dedicated to drawing and equipped with all the essential tools. The studio’s wall-to-wall 20-foot windows provide great views of campus and natural lighting.
Painting studio
A gallery-like studio space equipped with all the essential tools. It offers a large space to showcase student exhibitions and wall-to-wall 20-foot windows that provide great views of campus and natural lighting.
Print media studio
The largest studio in ARTlab, this space is equipped for a range of print mediums: intaglio, lithography, relief, silkscreen and papermaking. There is also a dedicated workstation for digital “plates” or negatives.
