Agriculture Building
Extending down Dafoe road are numerous buildings housing classrooms and facilities for the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. Built in 1915, the Agriculture Building serves as a main hub for students studying agribusiness, animal, plant and soil science, and food and nutrition.
Plant Science Greenhouse
Scientists use this large greenhouse to conduct studies that explore plant physiology, genetics, agronomy and pathology in a variety of crops. Students can find summer employment here working with faculty researchers.
Richardson Aggie Student Lounge
Located in the Agriculture Lecture Block next door to the Agriculture Building, the Richardson Lounge is where students can relax, study and connect with others. Employer events are often held in this space.
Animal Science Anatomy lab
Lab spaces in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences provide students with hands-on experiences in animal, plant or soil science, as well as entomology. Students often work in small groups with guidance from instructors.
Barbara Burns Food Innovation Laboratory
Located in the Human Ecology Building, this facility features a modern test kitchen and demonstration centre and is fully equipped with stainless steel counters and equipment to support student learning and skills development.
