Active Living Centre
Opened in 2015, the Active Living Centre (ALC) is a state-of-the-art fitness and recreation hub which includes numerous workout spaces and adjoins to the Frank Kennedy Centre, home of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management.
Workout area and climbing wall
Widely considered one of the best facilities of its kind in Canada, the ALC features one of the largest collections of networked Pre-Cor fitness machines in the world, accessible equipment, the second largest climbing wall in the city and a 200-metre elevated indoor track.
Fitness studio
Fitness classes, yoga, dance, cycling and martial arts are taught in multi-purpose studios throughout the ALC and Frank Kennedy Centre. A wide variety of recreation programs are offered each semester for students to choose from.
Gold Gym
Gold Gym is the largest of three gymnasiums in Frank Kennedy Centre. A variety of intramural sports such as basketball, volleyball, dodgeball and floor hockey are offered in these gyms, as well as other indoor and outdoor recreation facilities across campus.
Agora
The Agora is a bright, welcoming place to study, eat and catch up with friends. Students can visit the nearby customer service desk for Recreation Services information and access to facilities and change rooms.
Joyce Fromson Pool
The Joyce Fromson Pool is available to students, staff, faculty and alumni in addition to the general public. Pool temperature is set at a cool 28ºC as the pool also serves as a training centre for high-performance athletes.
