Doctor of Dental Medicine

Treating patients requires a unique skill-set, including the ability to adapt and think quickly while providing quality service. Let us prepare you to meet the needs of a diverse population of patients including children, adolescents, adults and geriatric and individuals with special needs.

Before you apply

Before you apply to the Dentistry (DMD) or Dental Hygiene program prospective students must be able to meet the essential skills and abilities required to progress through the program and graduate. Prospective applicants are required to review the essential skills and abilities documents for the Dentistry (DMD) or Dental Hygiene before they apply to either program. Questions? Graduate programs

Oral Biology

We offer both a master of science (MSc) and a doctor of philosophy (PhD), designed to equip you with the expertise and research experience needed to make meaningful contributions to the field. As part of our dental college, located within a major health sciences complex, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative partner labs—an environment that fosters innovation and prepares you for a successful career in oral health research.

International Dental Specialist Fellowship

Our International Dental Specialist Fellowship (IDSF) program, offered through Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), is designed for internationally-trained dentists aiming to practice in Canada. Choose from one of our specialized 12-month fellowships in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Pediatric Dentistry, or Prosthodontics to advance your clinical skills.

Dentistry and Dental Hygiene Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

We offer courses and programs to help advance the professional development of dentists, dental hygienists and all other oral health professionals. Join us for large conference-style events or hands-on workshops that will help you keep current and connected with your colleagues.
