You could reflect on the relationship between the work in your portfolio and your desire to join the program. Incorporate those areas of landscape architecture that interest you, how you believe your previous education and experiences have prepared you for studies in the discipline, and why you believe landscape architecture is vital in the 21st century.
Portfolio
All applicants must submit a digital portfolio with at most 20 pages, not including a cover page and table of contents. The document shall be less than 20 MB in size. Portfolios communicate design interests, inclinations, creative abilities, and potential. The body of work that you include should illustrate your creative experience and/or visual communication skills attained to date. The contents may range from representing your passions and hobbies to the inspirations that led you to apply to our landscape architecture program. The Admissions Committee is interested in projects you have done on your own and those done for school assignments or in the workplace. The purpose of following guidelines is to assist applicants with selecting and assembling the content of their portfolios.
Your portfolio might include:
- Written material: poetry, articles, travel journals, research papers, music, etc.
- Graphic representations of two-dimensional projects: photography, sketches, drawings, paintings, technical drawings, cartography, mapping, etc.

The portfolio shows your work. As such, any group work or office work included shall be accompanied by an overview of your role in the work, particularly about the imagery included. It shall also credit the names of collaborators.
In the case of schoolwork, please incorporate a summary of the project brief, the project's main aims, the dates and duration of the project, and the names of your instructors. Where applicable, include written evaluations and grades received.
If you include professional or construction work, clearly indicate your specific role in the project and other relevant details.
