FAUM Writing Tutor

The Faculty of Architecture is pleased to announce that it will again provide its students with the opportunity to work with an in-house academic writing tutor to receive specialized writing support for work in FAUM courses.  The writing tutor for the 2022-2023 will be John Harper, a current sessional instructor who has a Master of Landscape Architecture.
 
Students are welcome to consult with John at any stage in the writing process. They can make appointments by checking the booking schedule at this link:   Architecture Writing Tutor Schedule.xlsx

Available time slots are shown in yellow, and then students should request a time slot by contacting  John directly  at john.harper@umanitoba.ca to book. Note that students will need to have a University of Manitoba email account to view the booking link.

Urban Media Lab EVDS 2100 & digital basics

The Urban Media Lab (EVDS 2100) is a mandatory 3-credit hour workshop course. In 2022-2023 academic year it will be offered August 29 - September 2 and October 31 - November 4, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. Details on the course structure and timing will be updated closer to the start date.

There is an expectation that you will have completed the following tutorials prior to the Urban Media Lab (UML) as there will be assignments issued in UML during the first week of classes that require a basic understanding of these programs. The following courses are available on LinkedIn Learning. There is a free 30-day trial period during which you can sign up for to access the programs.
