Admission to JD/MBA
To enter the concurrent JD/MBA programs, students must meet all the entrance requirements of both the Faculty of Law and the Asper School of Business Stu Clark Graduate School. JD/MBA students will first apply to the JD program; an expression of interest in the concurrent MBA will be indicated through a checkbox on their JD application. Students will then apply to the Asper MBA program during their first year of Law.
Tuition
The tuition fees for the concurrent JD and MBA degrees will be assessed separately, based on each program’s current model. Students completing the two degrees concurrently will pay full Law program fees and 60 credit hours of course fees in the MBA, as is the case with all other UM students pursing two degrees concurrently. MBA students will be assessed a continuing fee in any term where they have no MBA or Law registration. All other University of Manitoba Auxiliary Fees will be charged normally by one program or the other.
Concurrent JD and MBA students will be eligible for merit-based scholarships from each program, independent of the other. For need-based financial aid, coordination between both Faculties will be undertaken in making the bursary allocations, if any, in order to serve the greatest number of eligible students.
