Funding for graduate students

As of September 1, 2023, all newly admitted students to a Computer Science graduate program at the University of Manitoba are automatically considered for financial support. MSc students admitted to the program are funded at a minimum rate of $20,000 per year for the first two years of their program. PhD students receive a minimum of $23,000 per year for the first four years of their program. This funding can come from a variety of sources, including supervisor grants, scholarships, and work as a teaching assistant, grader, or sessional instructor. Maintaining funding is contingent on satisfactory progress.
