The UM Competencies Framework was designed to help students identify and articulate the competencies (knowledge, skills, and dispositions) they acquire throughout their education.
Explore is an intensive language immersion program that offers funding and opportunities for Canadian Citizens and permanent resident students who are learning English as an additional language. Participants will enhance their English language knowledge and skills in a supportive and enriching environment, all while creating great memories. They will engage with local culture and discover what Winnipeg and Manitoba have to offer.
This program is also available to international students for a fee.
The Class Schedule is a list of all classes being offered in an instructional period. It includes information about: day, time, and place different instructional components to the course (e.g., lecture, lab, seminar)
UM has partnered with St. John Ambulance (SJA) to create official Therapy Dog Guidelines, regulating pet therapy on campus for the purpose of decreasing stress and increasing wellbeing.
The Vice-Provost (Equity) provides leadership to the university's initiatives that advance equity, diversity and inclusion in academic programming and community life.
The services and supports provided by Student Affairs are not limited to students – numerous sessions are offered to build capacity in and provide professional development opportunities for UM staff and faculty members.

Junior Bisons programs offer high-performance training and competition opportunities that develop, enhance, and promote positive relationships and personal and team-building skills for athletes at any level. Whether just beginning or looking for the next step to prepare them for post-high school competition, Junior Bisons has premier programs to help athletes achieve their goals.
All Junior Bisons programs are created and led by Bisons coaching staff and student-athletes - offering a true Bisons experience to the next generation of athletes.
