Having a study permit comes with certain responsibilities—that is, to actively pursue studies and make reasonable progress towards completing your program.

In many Indigenous cultural ceremonies, what takes place at a significant event is documented to hold accountability, to keep the memory of what happened alive and to continue the story past the event. One way is through a Witness Ceremony. To meaningfully action our new strategic plan, a Witness Ceremony was held at the MomentUM launch event.

If your study permit will expire before you finish your studies at the University of Manitoba, you must apply to extend your study permit before it expires. 

It is your responsibility to know the expiry date on your study permit and to apply for an extension before that date.
