The Collaborative PhD Program at the University of Manitoba provides an opportunity for outstanding graduate students to receive training at both the University of Manitoba and a collaborating university outside of Canada. Students spend a period in residence and complete portions of their program of study, and fulfill all requirements of each university.
If you are in a degree program at the UM, you may take courses at other recognized colleges or universities for transfer of credit (through the Letter of Permission, Western Deans Agreement or Canadian University Graduate Transfer Agreement).
The Joint Master’s Programs (JMP) at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg enhance the rich collaborative relationship that exists between the two institutions.
Master’s and doctoral students with a proven track record have the opportunity to register in Individual Interdisciplinary Studies (IIS).
Students can combine substantial aspects of existing programs of at least two units into a unique syllabus that lies outside traditional disciplinary boundaries.
