National Centre for Livestock and the Environment

The National Centre for Livestock and the Environment (NCLE) is a unique community of researchers, educators and students focused on building a more sustainable future for the Canadian livestock sector. By participating in NCLE research projects, students gain exposure to how systems operate, their complexities and their potential, working across a multidisciplinary setting.

Involvement with NCLE is a rare opportunity to experience the whole-system approach to research while preparing for real-world application of their acquired skills.
Barbara Burns Food Innovation Laboratory

The Barbara Burns Food Innovation Laboratory is a state-of-the art food grade lab, modern test kitchen and demonstration centre where students study food product development.
