Organic chemistry

Organic chemistry is the study of the structure, properties, composition, reactions, and preparation of carbon-containing compounds. Carbon-containing compounds in the form of natural products, (bio)pharmaceuticals, catalysts and aromatic hydrocarbons (dyes) find wide applications in research and industrial processes ranging from storage of solar energy, design of effective catalysts, biochemical transformation and development of novel therapeutics.
