Analytical chemistry focuses on identifying and quantifying properties and reactions of chemical structures. It serves all branches of chemistry and impacts a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, resource extraction, environmental monitoring, as well as the food and agricultural industry. In our department, analytical chemists are researching the impact of environmental contaminations, the development of electrochemical and biosensors, point-of-care devices, and advancing state-of-the-art mass spectrometry methods.
