Confirmation of Degree Awarded letters can only be prepared for graduates of the University of Manitoba. This document can be used for visa permits, post-docs, and convocation invitation letters, for February graduates. This document includes the student's full name, the degree conferred and the date of graduation.
This document is $12.00 and can take five business days. The fee is subject to change.
If you have declared graduation but have not yet graduated, you will need an Eligibility to graduate letter.
This letter can be used as an invitation letter for February graduates attending Spring Convocation. When used as an invitation letter, the confirmation of degree awarded letter includes the dates of the upcoming Spring Convocation, which February graduates are invited to participate at. The certificate is prepared on UM letterhead and bears a signature and the Registrar's Office stamp.
If you are graduating in Spring or Fall, you will need to use the Eligibility to graduate letter as an invitation letter.

All requests to be sent to prospective employers, academic institutions and other third-parties must be referred to AuraData. If more information is required, the student can order an enrolment verification or transcript.
For students who want proof of their upcoming graduation.
A Confirmation of Eligibility to Graduate letter is prepared for students who have declared their intent to graduate but have not yet graduated.
This document includes the student's full name, the degree they are expecting to receive and the date of their expected graduation. This letter can be used as an invitation letter for convocation and includes the upcoming convocation dates.
This document is $12.00 and may take a minimum of two weeks to process. The fee is subject to change.
For students wanting a certified copy of their degree.
The Registrar's Office can provide a Certified Copy of Degree, but the University does not have duplicate parchments or any copies of original parchments that were previously issued to graduates.
Graduates are required to provide a clear copy of their own parchment for certification. The copy will be given a stamp along with a signature and date. The certified copy will bear the embossed UM seal over the signature.
These documents are $12.00 each and can take five business days. The fee is subject to change.
For students not attending convocation.
A parchment (degree) delivery request can be made by a student who would like to have their parchment delivered by express post or courier. Parchments are ready 2 weeks after the last Convocation ceremony (for May and October) or 2 weeks after the announced graduation date (for February).
If you are attending your convocation ceremony, you will receive your parchment at the ceremony.
For the replacement of a lost, damaged or updated degree.
If your parchment has been lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed or your Legal name has changed, you may apply for a replacement parchment. Please note the replacement parchment looks similar to the original, and the wording certifies you have graduated, but it is NOT a duplicate of your original parchment.
The fee for a replacement parchment is $77.00 and can take five business days. Fees are subject to change
If you are requesting a replacement parchment as part of a change of name request, or due to the parchment being damaged, we require that you return your original parchment to the Registrar's Office, this must be done by mail.
The University of Manitoba Senate has approved the change in degree designation from "Bachelor of Laws" to "Juris Doctor" for any past recipients of the Bachelor of Laws degree.
The Replacement Parchment looks similar to the original, and the wording certifies that you have graduated, but it is NOT a duplicate of your original parchment. It will be printed on the same paper as current parchments are printed, including the University of Manitoba seal, using the same font as current original parchments use, in landscape format.
Your original parchment must be returned with your request, we can only receive original parchments by mail.
