Before your graduation, you will need to ensure you have no outstanding fees or fines with the university.
You will need to confirm that you have nothing outstanding, these may include:
- Library fines
- Tuition fee balances
- Parking tickets
Outstanding fees will cause a hold to be placed on your account.
Holds and Convocation
If your account is on hold for any reason you can still graduate and participate in convocation.
If the ceremony is in person, the parchment folder you will be given at the ceremony will contain a congratulatory note and a reminder to pay your account.
If the ceremony is virtual, your degree will not be sent until you have settled the outstanding balances on your account.
You can pick up your parchment or it will be mailed to you when your account is settled in full, and no holds exist on your account.
