Convocation will be held in person for Spring 2022. Attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Convocation will continue to also offer a virtual experience for those who aren’t ready to attend a large in-person gathering or aren’t able to attend in person.
In order to graduate, you need to declare your intent to graduate.
Parchment Delivery
If you do not attend convocation, your parchment (Degree) will be mailed to you. All parchments will be mailed approximately 2 weeks after the final convocation ceremony. Your parchment will be mailed to the address in your Aurora Account. Make sure that the address that appears there is current and accurate.
Alternatively, you may use the parchment delivery request form to make the following arrangements:
- Have your parchment sent to an alternate address
- Have your parchment couriered
Parchment not Received
If you do not receive your parchment, it is your responsibility to follow up with the Registrar’s Office within this 12 month period. Any requests for your parchment after this time will be processed as a Replacement Parchment; the fee for this is $75.00 (subject to change).
Be advised that the Registrar’s Office will hold unclaimed parchments for a maximum of 12 months after graduation. Any unclaimed parchments will be destroyed after 12 months.
This includes:
- Those not handed out at convocation (Spring and Fall Term graduates only).
- Those that were to be picked up in person but were not claimed.
- Those that were mailed but returned to the Registrar’s Office as a result of incorrect or incomplete address or not having been claimed at a postal outlet (as instructed by Canada Post) or courier depot (as instructed by a courier company).
- Those that were not issued due to a financial hold on your student record.
- Those that were reprinted immediately after convocation due to corrections.
