ONLINE OPEN HOUSE: Register to receive on-demand access to the supplementary online open house, featuring information booths for UM programs and services, virtual campus tours, and more. Can't attend in-person? Attend online, from anywhere in the world, on-demand.

Our Fall Open House is a come-and-go style event, come anytime between 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Tues. Oct. 29 and stay for as long as you like. Presentations and residence tours are repeated at multiple times throughout the evening. Attend with your parents or other guests - all are welcome!

PARKING

Free parking is provided for guests in the Q student parking lot on the north side of campus. From Q lot, follow the posted signs to UMSU University Centre for the event, it's an approx. 5-minute walk from parking to University Centre.

Directions to Free Event Parking

If arriving via University Crescent from Pembina Highway, keep left on University Crescent and veer east onto Dysart Road. From Dysart Road, turn left into the Q student parking lot.

If arriving via Bison Drive/Chancellor Matheson Road from Pembina Highway, keep left on Chancellor Matheson Road. Turn left onto University Crescent at the intersection of Chancellor Matheson Road and University Crescent. Keep right on University Crescent and turn right onto Dysart Road. From Dysart Road, turn left into the Q student parking lot.

When you arrive to the Q student parking lot, follow the signs to UMSU University Centre.

CHECK IN TO WIN

Check in upon arrival to UMSU University Centre and scan the QR code on your event program to be entered into our prize draw!

Grade 12 students - win a $1,000 tuition prize! Check in to win one of three $1,000 CAD tuition prizes, to be applied to your 2025-2026 tuition fees. Winners will be contacted following the event, some conditions apply. All other students will be entered for a draw to win a UM prize pack!

ACADEMIC FAIR

Explore UM faculties, programs and services in our academic fair, open throughout the event. Browse 50+ info booths and meet with program advisors, staff and current students. All UM faculties and academic programs are represented, as are most major service providers.

Stop by Career Café for advice about how best to plan for your future career. Discover the many experiences UM offers to make you more job-ready, including paid co-op work placements!

First Year Planning Lounge

Learn more about University 1 - UM's unique and flexible first-year program - and meet with advisors from the First Year Centre to discover what year 1 of classes will look like for your intended program.

Want to know what a typical day at university is like? What are the best spots and services on campus to know about? Chat with current UM students, from a range of programs and backgrounds, to hear their perspective on student life.

Everything you need to know about UM in 15 minutes!

Attend this short presentation, offered every 20 minutes throughout the event, to get the key info you need to prepare for university. Learn more about the application process, entrance scholarships and how UM will offer you an outstanding student experience.

RESIDENCE TOURS

Living on-campus in a student residence, just steps away from your classes, is a great way to meet new friends and immerse yourself in campus life. Tour rooms in Pembina Hall and Mary Speechley Hall and get more information about meal plans and dining options.
