German and Slavic Studies Undergraduate and Graduate Student Conference

Participate in this annual event where we celebrate undergraduate research as students present their research on all fields related to German and Slavic Studies, such as language, literature, art/music/film, history, popular culture, philosophy and more. Students do not have to be a major or minor in the Department of German and Slavic Studies to participate. If you have written an interesting paper, given a fun presentation or are currently working on an exciting project related to German and Slavic Studies, we invite you to participate. Each presentation is limited to 15 minutes. Based on feedback from the audience, the top three presenters will receive an award. The conference usually takes place in March.

Giving a presentation at a conference is an important academic skill, a way to share your research and ideas with other students and faculty members, a way to get feedback on your work and an important addition to your resume or academic CV.

A pre-conference workshop is offered to presenters providing tips on how to give a conference presentation.
