Expanding Traditions: Deploying Alasdair MacIntyre in Social Sciences and Human Service Professions

This colloquium will explore Alasdair MacIntyre’s theories and scholarship in Canadian social sciences and human service professions. The presentations will focus on MacIntyre’s utility in sociology, social work, and psychology, both at the level of research and practice.

Our researchers collaborate with professionals across the world in an effort to promote social justice and enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Our goal is to advance the fields of social work practice and social policy, striving to promote respect for human rights and dignity, individual worth and wellbeing, diversity, social inclusion, and the principles of social justice.

Social Work Bulletin

Notice for applicants to the MSW, MSW-IK and PhD programs:

After the annual application deadline, applications are reviewed on a committee basis by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Once this process is complete, applications are sent to the Faculty of Social Work internal admissions committee. The Faculty of Social Work internal admissions committee reviews the applications and their decisions are sent to all applicants in March / April.
