Bibliometrics and research impact
Research assessment is a multi-faceted topic that includes quantitative and qualitative measures with use practices governed by global statements and standards. Examples of bibliometric measures include the total number of publications, or the total number of citations for a single researcher, a group of researchers or an institution. The Libraries provides responsible use support to assessment activities using bibliometric measures including annual reporting, strategic planning, award competition and more.

- Recommend best practices for using bibliometric data to assess research output and productivity
- Insight into capturing bibliometric data at the discipline or institutional levels
- Assessment of research contributions to UN’s Sustainable Development Goals
- Providing customized training and/or workshops on capturing bibliometric data via Web of Science, SciVal and Scopus
We also provide workshop and presentations on BRI. See Libraries’ workshop schedule or contact your liaison librarian.
