UM Bisons

Cheer on the Bisons as they compete for top spots in the Canada West conference in basketball, volleyball, football, hockey, soccer, swimming, golf, and track and field. UM consistently ranks among the country’s top 10 universities for producing Academic All-Canadian athletes. Join the herd and cheer on the Bisons with your friends. Sports to watch include:

Recreation

UM's Recreation Services has more fitness and recreation options for members than any other facility in the province. Intramural sports such as dodgeball, floor hockey and inner-tube water polo provide great opportunities to meet people, test your abilities, relieve stress and have fun.

Active Living Centre

Our 100,000 sq.ft. Active Living Centre features an elevated running track and more than 1,300 pieces of equipment.

Frank Kennedy Centre

The Frank Kennedy Centre houses three gymnasiums, racquetball and squash courts and meeting rooms and classrooms.

Joyce Fromson Pool

The Joyce Fromson Pool is an accessible space for recreational swims or high-performance training.

Joe Doupe Recreation Centre

The Joe Doupe Recreation Centre is the primary fitness and recreation centre at the Bannatyne campus.

 

Group fitness classes

Step into our group fitness classes where you can enjoy a wide range of activities, from yoga to strength training.

Intramural sports

Join the game with intramural sports. From ice hockey to water polo, there’s something for everyone.
