As mentors, practicum advisors (PAs) and mentor teachers (MTs - formerly referred to as Cooperating Teachers - CTs)  have a significant influence on the professional growth of teacher candidates. They help teacher candidates to learn how to establish and maintain a caring learning environment that supports all students.
