About event

Drawing on Filipino Canadian scholarship–past, present, and future–this gathering brings together Filipino scholars, students, and graduates engaged in research within our communities. This opportunity revives community building, institutional advocacy, and knowledge gathering-production from critical and interdisciplinary Philippine, Filipino Canadian, and ethnic studies perspectives. Inspired by Black and Indigenous scholars, we dream of a world whereby Filipino scholars proudly reclaim research on our own terms and strategically occupy the academic institution, grounded in our own ways of knowing, being, and doing. And that time is now. Panahon na!
