Research areas
A key goal of the department of biological sciences is to promote world-class research in areas that are central to biology now and into the future. These areas allow our strong participation in longstanding and well-developed research directions, as well as foster innovations in newly emerging areas of Biology and Life Sciences. Our faculty members have identified in one or more of these groups.
Research collections
The department of biological sciences houses a diverse research collection of specimens from Manitoba and around the world.
Our collections are housed in the Herbarium, and in research and teaching laboratories in the department. If you would like to request information regarding any of our collections, you can contact one of our curators.
