The purpose of this page is to provide information to prospective graduate applicants to the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Manitoba to the Master of Occupational Therapy Accelerated Program in 2026-2027. This information outlines admission requirements and deadlines.

The selection process for the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Accelerated Program adheres to the Academic Calendar of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and the Occupational Therapy Supplemental Regulations.
This process is managed by the MOT Accelerated Selections Committee, a standing committee of the Master of Occupational Therapy Program Committee within the College of Rehabilitation Sciences.
Successful applicants are admitted to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Please read and understand all the information here and in the associated documents before submitting your application.
There are two options in the Master of Occupational Therapy program:
For individuals holding a previous undergraduate degree who are interested in pursuing a career in occupational therapy.
For applicants who currently hold a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy) degree or equivalent.
This webpage provides information for applicants seeking admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy Accelerated Program for 2026-2027. Information on admission to the Master of Occupational Therapy Regular Program are available here on a separate webpage.

The number of students admitted to the Master of Occupational Therapy Accelerated Program depends on resource availability at the time of application. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Head of the Department of Occupational Therapy to discuss research interests and project supervision before applying.
To apply to the Accelerated Program, you must meet these eligibility requirements by the application deadline:
Applications to the Master of Occupational Therapy Accelerated program are available on-line with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

All supporting documentation must be uploaded to the online application by the deadline. An application is incomplete until all documentation is received.
Note: The Occupational Therapy Accelerated program requires English language proficiency scores that exceed the minimum requirements of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Note: The Senate Committee on Admission Appeals will review appeals based on adherence to published policies and procedures by the Selection Committees, not on the substantive merit of the application.

No university official can guarantee admission to any applicant. Admission decisions are made annually by the Committee based on competitive criteria.
