    Become an academic advisor or be a better one with this program. Understand the academic advising landscape in Canada and deepen your understanding of the theories and practices associated with academic advising so you can provide enhanced service to the students and their institutions.

    During the program, you will learn about best practices in Canadian academic advising and consider how to provide an in-depth and meaningful experience that enables advisors to provide outstanding service to students and their instructors. You will also explore a range of perspectives on contemporary advising issues such as international students, diversity in advising and students at risk.

Program details

This program is for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Information for international students who wish to study with us can be found at Intensive program packages.

Credential: Earn a University of Manitoba Letter of Accomplishment in Academic Advising.

Fees: $3,075 plus $100 non-refundable application fee

Expected duration: 1 to 3 years, part-time

Application requirements: You must meet general admission guidelines for entrance into the University of Manitoba.

Course requirements: Courses are graded on a pass/fail basis.
