Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • describe core organizational development terms, processes, concepts, and benefits
  • define and characterize the major schools of thought in learning theory and motivation
  • apply the key phases of the instructional systems design (ISD) model
  • conduct a needs analysis of an organization to determine solutions to performance problems and identify potential associated training and development activities
  • select training methods that actively engage learners and are appropriate for the content
  • design a best practice learning experience by creating a training agenda including key instructional events
  • explain the strategic link and the benefits, including legal requirements between organizational goals and human resource development activities
  • recommend an evaluation model for a training program
