University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship

All UMGF Award recipients and their advisors will be notified by email from the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department considers applications that meet a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the last 60 credit hours or equivalent. Preliminary GPA calculations are not provided. GPA calculations are conducted during the formal assessment of completed applications. 

All applications and transcripts are to be submitted via email to ecegraduateprogram@umanitoba.ca with the subject line: Student #, FIRST name LAST name, ECE UMGF Application

Deadline to apply is April 15, 2026 at 4:30 pm (CT)

Applications received after the deadline or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Internal University of Manitoba applicants: Please submit your University of Manitoba transcripts (from Aurora self-service) with your application. Copies of other university transcripts will be taken from your admission application.

New/Incoming students: Please provide copies of your transcripts used for admission into the ECE program.
