Jesse's Story

Hi, my name is Jesse Penner. I am a former student and graduate from the Campus Life auditing program. I was there from September 2013 to April 2018 and I took eleven different courses, ten of which were associated with business. Some of my courses were: Starting A New Business, New Venture Analysis, Small business Finance, and Managing A Smaller Business. 

After graduating and after the COVID pandemic, I landed a job at Community Living Manitoba in March 2022, as their Administrative Office Assistant for their Maryland location. Community Living Manitoba is an organization that assists people with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism in finding things that they need when they are having trouble in finding it themselves. Weather if it’s financial assistance, transitioning from a group home to a independent living community, or setting up a structure for the future in case if something happens to their parents/guardians. If it wasn’t for this auditing program and it’s people in the program, I wouldn’t be where I am today. It was not just the knowledge I gained, but also the kindness and encouragement I received to help keep me confident. The program's dedication towards helping others to extend their education in a way that it is possible for them to join the university.
