An interview with Campus Life student

Q: How did you get started with Campus life?
A: My mom saw a PSA on tv and got me on the waiting list. Many years later, I got the call to participate. We went wild with happiness!

Q:What impact has campus life had on your university experience?
A: Having Trevi and my tutor Madison as a resource and a support system has made me feel more secure while I am at school. They advocate for me and help me solve problems. I trust them. It gave me a sense of purpose and direction in my life. It helped me understand the world better.

Q: How do the tutors help you?
A: She helps me improve my academic writing, and tests me with assignments. The last tutoring session we watched videos about ocean pollution and marine life, we had some discussion and a few laughs, and then we worked on my project which is a Power Point on the subject of environmental action.

Q:What is one of your biggest accomplishments with Campus Life?
A: I look back to my final papers in each course. I wrote a paper on Anxiety in my Psychology Course, on LGBTQ Families in my Families in Contemporary Canadian Society course, and The Music of India in my Anthropology course.

Q. What has been your favourite class during the program?
A: It has to be ASTR - 1810 - Introduction to Astronomy: The Magnificent Universe as it went into the study of space beyond Earth such as how planets and stars are made, live, and die, and the types of objects floating in space.

Q: How has campus life prepared you for the future?
A: I've become confident with working the computer, and with my conversational and writing skills.

Q: What do you hope to do after your Campus Life studies?
A: Work relating to my interest in environmental protection is what I'm looking towards right now.
