Treatment in the Oral Pathology Specialty Clinic is provided by undergraduate dental students under the direct supervision of certified Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologists who are full-time academics at the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry. Treatment within the Oral Pathology Specialty Clinic involves the diagnosis and management of oral pathologic conditions.
To become a patient you must be referred by your private dentist.
You must also be an active patient at the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry or one of its satellite clinics:
If you are not eligible for treatment at the College, either because you are not an active patient or because your condition is too complex for treatment by undergraduate dental students, we recommend that you seek treatment by an oral and maxillofacial pathologist in a private dental practice.
Accepted patients must be suitable for the educational needs of the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry.
Visiting the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry is a great way get the dental care you need at a more affordable price. Our fees are significantly lower than the various specialties listed in the Manitoba Dental Association Fee Guide, often by as much as 50 per cent.
Payment is expected after each appointment. We accept cash, direct debit, credit cards. If you have dental insurance coverage, our clinic staff will process the dental insurance forms on your behalf and you will be reimbursed by your dental insurance.
For patients undergoing extensive treatment over a period of time, such as orthodontic or prosthodontic care, payment does not have to be made all at once. Talk to us about scheduling payments throughout your treatment. Please note that full payment is required by the time treatment is complete.
Fees are dependent on the procedure performed and rates at the College are subject to change. All costs will be discussed before services are performed, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and discuss options.
