Requirements:
Indigenous Business Education Partners (IBEP) at the University of Manitoba's Asper School of Business will offer one scholarship in the amount of $15,000 per year (renewable) to an undergraduate student who:
- is a member of the Indigenous Business Education Partners (IBEP) program in the I.H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba;
- has a high record of academic achievement which is defined as:
- (a) for first year students, meet the minimum admission requirements for the I.H. Asper School of Business Direct Entry Program Option at the University of Manitoba;
- (b) for continuing students, a minimum degree grade point average of 3.0;
- is enrolled full-time (minimum 60% course load) in the I.H. Asper School of Business in the year in which the scholarship is tenable;
- has demonstrated academic promise and leadership potential for IBEP, the Indigenous community and/or the I.H. Asper School of Business.
Application Checklist:
- Fill out the online application form
- Transcript for most recent academic year (high school or university/college)
- Letter of offer into the Asper School of Business
- One letter of reference from a teacher/professor, coach, volunteer supervisor, etc.
Letter of Reference Guidelines:
Please provide a letter of reference from a non-relative who is personally familiar with you and your ability to excel at the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business. They should be able to comment on the following areas:
- Contribution to school (or workplace, volunteer organization, etc)
- Contribution to community
- Interest in and respect for others, including demonstrated leadership abilities
- Motivation and determination to complete goals
- Future academic promise
Examples of acceptable reference relationships include community Elder, teacher, vice-principal/principal, professor, coach, pastor or clergy, volunteer supervisor or employer.

Additional Information:
Candidates will be required to participate in an interview process conducted by faculty and staff members involved with the IBEP program. Candidates will be selected based on the interview and the above eligibility criteria. Interviews will be held September 22-26, 2025.
