Shaw New Venture Camp 2021
Join the Indigenous Business Education Partners and Shaw Communications for our third Shaw New Venture Camp, July 5 – 9, 2021. This free, one-week experience will give Indigenous high school students a peek into the decisions made when operating a business, and are even immersed into a business simulation exercise where participants compete for prize money!

Thank you to everyone who applied!
What will participants learn?
Students will learn a variety of core business fundamentals in areas of Finance, Logistics & Supply Chain, Marketing, Presentation Skills, and more. By the end of the week, they will walk away with a foundational grasp of business functions and have had the opportunity to learn from many of Asper’s prestigious instructors, giving a glimpse as to what University-level studies in the Faculty of Management are like.
What is the format?
The 2021 Shaw New Venture Camp is a virtual experience, conducted using the video conferencing software, Zoom. Students will attend scheduled sessions between the hours of 9 AM to 4 PM, building their core business knowledge throughout the week, and then meeting in their groups to further work toward their simulated company’s success. On the final day, teams pitch their company before a panel of judges to compete for prizes. Teams placing first, second, and third will earn a cash prize!
