I possess more than ten years of experience teaching and researching economics in Canadian and Colombian universities. My area of expertise is economic development for marginalized communities in Canada and abroad. For the last years I have focused on supporting Manitoba's Indigenous communities research needs.
Since 2020 I have been working on research projects that involve primary data collection to identify correlation between Indigenous health, food and culture. My current working papers are based on a project conducted for Brokenhead Objiwa Nation. Currently, I am conducting a similar project for Norway House Cree Nation. Both communities are located in the province of Manitoba.
