Biography

Marie Laperrière joined the Department of Sociology and Criminology as an Assistant Professor after completing a Phd in Sociology at Northwestern University. Her current research examines the operations of treatment programs for perpetrators of domestic violence. She has ongoing interests in the politics of punishment, social policy, gender and sexuality, feminist theory, and gender-based violence.
