I served as an Assistant, Associate and Full Professor in the Department of History, University of Manitoba from 1965 - 2000 where I taught subjects such as Imperial and Commonwealth History and Canadian History. I served as Department Head from 1982 - 1985 and again from 1990 - 2001 and as the President of the Canadian Historical Association from 1981 - 1982.
