Biography

I'm a moral and social philosopher. Before coming to Manitoba, I was a Fellow-in-Residence at Harvard's Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics.

My current research projects focus on the distinctive normative significance of our social roles (e.g. professions, gender, citizenship, or family relationships). I'm interested in what social roles require of those who occupy them and how those requirements interact with morality, responsibility, justice, and social change. My approach to these questions is informed by feminist philosophy.

I'm also invested in expanding the philosophical community through inclusion initiatives and ethics education. I have both pedagogical and research interests in the philosophy of technology and philosophy of religion.
