Biography

Allison grew up in Manitoba and is deeply engaged in fostering community through sponsoring refugees, helping the food bank, supporting equine therapy, and a love for recreational sports.  Allison has extensive land use planning experience in both urban and rural settings. For the past 20 years Allison has been active in the planning community - assisting local community groups, developers, organizations and local governments with their planning needs.  She also is part of a worker co-op that offers facilitation, planning and community-based research. She recently secured funding from the Lincoln Land Institute to develop a Scenario Planning process to plan for natural disasters in the RM of Piney. In addition to consulting, she is also currently acting as the Land Use Planner for the RM of Piney.
