Wilmot Lecture
The Wilmot Lecture was established in honour of a former Warden of St John's College, Laurence Wilmot. Wilmot was a dynamic and pivotal figure in the history of St John's College, leading the move of the college to its present location and overseeing the construction of its original buildings. The Wilmot Lecture is a lecture devoted to the topic of the Doctrine of God. The Doctrine of God stands at the centre of Christian theology as it asks questions about who God is and what is God like. The history of this lecture has seen a variety of approaches to tackling the subject and we are proud to offer a venue for the theologians of our time to think carefully about this most important topic in Christian thought.
