St John's College Application for Scholarships and Bursaries with an June 1 Deadline

Welcome to the SJC June1 Deadline Scholarship and Bursary Application Form. All scholarships and bursaries with a deadline of June 1 are located on this page. You may apply for all awards for which you meet the eligibility criteria. If you need to refresh your memory on what the criteria for each award are, hover the cursor over the "?" beside each award name and the criteria will pop up.

I suggest you don't wait until the last minute. The form is set to close at 4:30 pm on June 1 so if you're in the middle of your application and the clock ticks over, you won't be able to submit your application. And while the process is a lot smoother than it has been, you never know if technical difficulties will pop up, including illness and general life-getting-busy-ness. So don't wait until the last minute!

**If you have accessibility issues with this form or require assistance, please contact the Awards Clerk by email at sherry.peters@umanitoba.ca or by phone at 204-474-8520 for assistance.

A few things to note:

1. Read the criteria carefully and make sure you are eligible.

2. When you check the box beside the award you are applying for, any additional information and requirements will show up.

3. Yes, you can apply for more than one award, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria. Please read it carefully. Everything you need is all on this one form.

4. If the criteria says, "Preference given to" and you don't meet that requirement but you meet all others, yes you can apply for it.

5. References: All you need to provide is the name and the email address of your references. Once your references have been contacted and their letters submitted, you will receive an email confirmation.

6. You do not need to send in your UM transcript. The Awards Clerk has access to those.

7. If the award(s) you are applying for requires the financial need worksheet, it will show up in the form. No need to upload anything. It will all show up for you when and where you need it.

8. Once you’ve clicked the “submit” button, you will see something to the effect of “Thank you for applying for the June 1 scholarships” (something like that). You will also receive confirmation by email. If you receive the confirmation screen and email, your application has been submitted and received.

9. And finally, a reminder that the results of the awards will not be decided until the end of September, at which time, notification will go out.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Awards Clerk at sherry.peters@umanitoba.ca.
