Course Title: An Introduction to Christian Worship

Description:

An Introduction to Christian Worship explores the human experience of the common prayer of the Christian community from an ecumenical perspective. This interdisciplinary course focuses on contemporary practice, inviting students to encounter and employ theological, historical, and social scientific approaches to the study of worship. Students will anchor their reflection in participant observation of diverse local worshipping communities in order to reflect on the connections between worship and the lives of individuals, communities of practice, and their social contexts.
