Bisons Learn to Skate - Parent & Tot program details

This program is ideal for beginner skaters. Lessons will focus on the fundamentals of skating, gliding, forward skating, stopping, starting and turning. Learn to Skate combines movement-oriented activities and games to encourage fun through learning. The parent/adult accompanying the child should be a confident skater.

Participants are required to bring their own skates, CSA-approved helmets (full face mask recommended) and thick mitts or hockey gloves.

Bisons Learn to Skate I program details

Mini Bisons Basketball I Program Details

Designed by our Bisons head coaches, the Mini Bisons Basketball program allows children to play the game in a focused environment suited to the development of their physical, mental and basketball skills by instituting long-term athlete development (LTAD) modifications to the adult game. With high repetitions and touches, it is player-oriented with the emphasis is on skill development in combination with the teaching and loading of actions.

Wall Climbing I program details

This program is designed to give participants the chance to experience wall climbing for the first time. Participants will tackle a 1500 square foot climbing wall in the Active Living Centre for one hour per day and spend one hour per day on our bouldering wall which features our new kilter board.  Learn safety procedures, knot tying techniques, bouldering and climbing communication in a fun and safe indoor environment.

Dinosaur Discovery program details

Take a trip back to prehistoric times when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Learn how a T. Rex hunted through challenges tracking light and movement. See how fossils were made and then go out and dig them up yourself! You will also get to visit the Ed Leith Cretaceous Menagerie on campus to see some massive fossils firsthand.
