About the program

At the heart of your training, you’ll be immersed in an exceptionally busy clinical vascular surgery service, performing approximately 1,000 major vascular surgeries each year. The program is based at St. Boniface General Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, with additional training at the Risk Factor Clinic located at Grace Hospital.

You’ll gain vast clinical exposure to a wide variety of cases, including vascular trauma, renal and visceral artery reconstructions, abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, aorto-iliac and infrainguinal diseases, and hemoaccess dialysis procedures.

Our tailored approach to clinical training ensures that you’re not only learning but also thriving. With access to advanced facilities and technology, you’ll refine your skills through hands-on experience. The program places a strong emphasis on research and mentorship, offering ample opportunities to contribute to the field while receiving personalized guidance from experienced surgeons.
