Junior Bisons Volleyball is the provincial leader in developing young athletes' technical skills and teamwork abilities through competitive experiences and learning. UM Bisons volleyball coaching staff and student-athletes lead and facilitate programs to provide athletes at any level the opportunity for success.
Junior Bisons Volleyball Club
Program Overview
Under the expert guidance of Bisons head coaches, the JBVC offers opportunities for young athletes aged 12-18 to develop volleyball skills, tactical knowledge and fitness. JBVC is a high-level training experience for new athletes in the sport to develop and those looking for a career in post-high school competition to further their abilities.
Programming is led by Bisons volleyball head coaches Ken Bentley and Arnd Ludwig and facilitated by Bisons student-athletes.

Player fees cover Volleyball Manitoba registration, facility rentals, tournament entry fees, Junior Bisons banquet ticket, coaching honorariums and per diems, strength and conditioning, equipment, supplies and administration costs
- This larger fee is payable in one lump sum at the annual parent meeting in December or can be paid by credit card in a 3 month payment plan (Dec, Jan, Feb)
Apparel fees cover 2 practice dri-fit shirts, hoodie, backpack and game jerseys (2-3).
- The full apparel fee is due at the parent meeting in December with credit card as the clothing is ordered and paid for instantly through the online store.
Travel fees cover player and coaches hotel expenses, coaches flights and travel expenses and team rental vehicles/buses and gas.
- The travel fee does not include player flights to Nationals or any other tournaments.The travel fee is due Mar. 30 of each year as it is determined by the number of players on each team, number of tournaments, locations, travel etc.

When an athlete has a date of birth between Sept 1 and Dec 1 you may choose your preferred tryout. If you qualify for, and would like to be considered for multiple age groups please fill out our multiple age class consideration form.
Family Meeting
Families play a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of young athletes' development. In order to ensure families have all of the information necessary to ensure a successful season for their athlete our leadership team hosts a meeting after tryouts, before the season begins. Here you will meet the coaching staff, complete the team registration process, receive team schedules and complete online apparel orders.

This meeting is a requirement of playing Junior Bisons Club Volleyball and all athletes and one parent/guardian must be in attendance.
Junior Bisons High Performance Volleyball - Summer Camp
Overview
The High Performance camp is designed to build excellence in competitive volleyball with high quality appropriate training, programming, giving athletes the opportunity to further develop their skills. Days will include on court training, game play as well as strength and conditioning and sport science sessions.
Programming is led by Bisons volleyball head coaches Ken Bentley and Arnd Ludwig and facilitated by Bisons student-athletes.
Previous volleyball experience is required.

Junior Bisons Mini-Volley
Overview
Mini-Volley encourages learning, promotes success, and increases enjoyment for participants just starting their volleyball journey. The program's adapted format approach to the sport allows athletes to understand the technical basics while experiencing success and promoting passion to continue playing.
