Biography

Before arriving at the University of Manitoba, I worked as an Assistant Professor in Department of Psychology at University of North Carolina at Greensboro for 3-years. I run a developmental cognitive science lab called the Young Minds Research Lab. Our work can be found in a wide range of developmental, cognitive science, and educational journals. It has been funded by both NSERC and SSHRC grants.

Research

Research summary

Broadly, I am interested in understanding the nature of conceptual representations, specifically those (potentially) structured as intuitive theories. I currently mainly study this topic in the context of how children and adults reason about digital contexts. But, I have additional interests in people’s theories of learning and ownership.
