Imagine the Future of Our Shared Spaces

We find ourselves at a crossroads in a world struggling with political upheaval, climate collapse, and widespread inequity. With this in mind, Storefront Manitoba believes that designers are uniquely situated to have the bandwidth and the hopeful perspective to make a positive change. Design is simultaneously social-political, ecological, and cultural, performing at scales as large as the planet, and as intimate as human emotion and feeling. As challenges and crises persist around the globe, we hold on to hope, and at its core, good design is about hope - bringing intention, collaboration, and creativity together to build something better, to bring communities and disciplines together.

Storefront Manitoba is a not-for-profit organization with charitable status that advances critical discussion, exploration, and celebration of design culture in Manitoba. We believe design plays a critical role in making our cities more sustainable, equitable, and inspiring.
